The second day of the Camino Portuges brought the magic of the universe back online for me.
I mentioned in an earlier post that time with family sometimes results in a pause on synchronicities and manifestations for me. The process of getting off hold started yesterday when I walked into the Albergue. I saw a girl sitting on the bunk next to mine, said hi, and then went about getting ready for dinner. At the time I didn’t realize (a product of the transition period of coming back to awareness of source at work), but there had been a brief pause when we met. It is very subtle, but once you’re aware, these moments can be quite significant.
The pause is just an alert. Usually they come when I meet someone who I’m meant to have an important experience with. It can be a soul contract (I’ve only learned that these exist recently), or some connection from the past, but usually there is some learning involved.
I missed that signal, so the universe gave me another ping, and we ended up at the same restaurant. We didn’t see each other there, so it was only when I decided to jog down to the beach for a swim that we met.
That evening, our group for the trail formed. Six of us set off this morning together. My friend that I had met the evening before and I both felt pulled to do the coastal route, while the others were motivated to cross to the central route. We started together and eventually, the trails would split.
As we walked this morning both of us were unsure of what to do, but we didn’t know the other was having such a hard time deciding. Well, I was vocal about it, so maybe only one of us didn’t know. It seems we were both trying to do the same thing: make our decision based on what we wanted, but also what intuitively felt like the best way to go.
We both preferred the coast, but decided to go with our new friends inland. It wasn’t until about an hour and a half from the end of the hike that we realized what had happened. We had ended up exactly where we were meant to, because the physical destination wasn’t what the universe was pushing us towards. It isn’t completely clear why yet, but it seems that her and I were meant to end up walking together.
I’ve been attracting conscious people towards me for a while now, so it was no surprise that we had been paired up on this walk. It still felt magical, after the “dry spell” that was the last two or three weeks. We walked and talked about energy transfers, different abilities, Native cultures, manifestation, etc.
As we hit the final mile of the walk, our conversation turned to dinner. We wanted vegetables, rice, some sauce. She wanted a beer. I decided it would be good if we got it for free, or maybe just for 5€. She also hoped that we would stay in a nicer place than the night before, and that it would have a courtyard where we could sit in the grass.
Shortly after these requests of the universe, we found the Albergue. The very kind caretaker toured us around and eventually brought us to the kitchen. I could tell that the magic was back because he was treating me in the way that people do when my energy is up. Special attention, but in a subtle way. And no, it is not because I am a girl, although there definitely are times when this advantage is a part of the equation.
The man offered us access to everything in the kitchen, including the food. Rice, some vegetables, olives, cheese, etc. and then, beer, and there were only enough in the fridge for each of the group to have one, and a juice for me. There were other guests, and I don’t know what he offered them, but this was still what we had asked for. And, the pay for the stay was 5€. On top of it, the place is really lovely and has an outdoor space with a good patch of grass.
Earlier in the day, my Dad had sent me a message about meeting Italians on the Camino. Mentioning my last name was important, because Italians always take care of each other. The other guests who had arrived before us were Italians. I followed my Dad’s advice. It turned out that we are from the same city as my family, Naples. And so, I manifested the second free dinner of the evening; pasta alla puttanesca.
It felt good to have some magic back in my life; to see my thoughts manifesting so quickly into my material reality. If I make a choice that isn’t completely in line with the path that the universe laid out in front of me, I know it will reorganize things so whatever I need still comes to me. I’m glad that it respects my free will, but is persistent in directing my attention towards tools for my mission.
Today was exactly the above. I felt pulled to go the coastal route, but still decided to go inland, and the reason that I was being pulled to the coast came along with me anyway. I guess having free will makes this such an interesting game to play. So tomorrow, I hope the universe and my free will team up toward a common goal for the day.
