Part of the installment at the church, Fenouillet, France

Today is much lighter. Before I left for this trip, a friend predicted that I would not spend much time alone as I thought I would. I started off today on my own and within 30 minutes I was no longer alone. I walked up to a church, following feathers, as usual, and a woman was locking up the gates. She explained that she gave tours and was checking for the lights, etc. for a tour she was giving the next day. She took me inside the church and showed me around. I was glad to have a chance to practice my French.

We talked, quickly gaining an understanding of each other’s spiritual inclinations. She offered to take me to the town I was walking to, with the hopes that we would find a restaurant for me. She dropped me off in town, and after a few minutes, I realized that nothing was open. I found a young woman on the street who said that on Mondays, everything is closed. So, in Spain, it is Sunday, and France, it is Monday. Noted. I left her, and within a minute, ran into her on another corner, this time with her in a car. She offered me a ride to the town 6 miles away that had a food store. Again, more speaking practice.

She dropped me at the store and I went inside. She had told me of a nice hiking route to get to the town I wanted to be in, Bugarach. I had been to Bugarach in one of my night time travels, but I didn’t know anything about getting there or if there would be a place to stay.

After a few minutes in the store, the first woman came in. Her name is Cati. She then offered for me to come with her to her house and stay. I finished shopping for food and met her at the car.

We spent the whole day together, talking. She showed me interesting things in the area. I was so relieved to have a new friend.

Now it is 1AM and I am tired. I can see that I just need to trust and the universe will take care of me .
