Synchronicity time, hooray!

Last week, I had a dream/night travel where I was at a training center in the mountains somewhere. I had arrived at the training alone. I remember being in the dining area, which consisted of picnic tables and was semi-outdoors, or I could see through the walls, perhaps. I was alone most of the time until the end of the experience when another person finally noticed me. Otherwise, I was floating around watching a friend of mine from Alaska spend time with the main group, who I knew to be from NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School). I’ve never been affiliated with NOLS in any way. The following day, without discussing the dream with anyone or typing about it anywhere, I noticed that my cell phone started pulling up ads for NOLS. That’s not the synchronicity, that’s just to demonstrate that iPhones are reading minds now, and I’m not saying it as a joke.

I promise these seemingly unrelated stories will converge if you continue:

When I was in middle school, I almost studied German, but at the last minute chose French. I’ve always felt pulled towards Germany, for no reason. Actually, I’ve met so many Germans who have been significant that I’m surprised I’ve spent this long taking no notice. I imagine the universe resorting to throwing bananas at me to get my attention after 20 years have passed. I don’t think it would throw anything heavier than a banana. I’ve heard it crash planes to get others attention, but I’m not willing to bring that potential into my reality.

This week, I finally took the hint and decided to start learning German. Nothing serious, just Duolingo for now. If you know, Duolingo starts you with only a few vocabulary words for each category, for example, they only taught me how to say boy in one section. Still waiting to learn how to say girl (update: my German friend (yes, another German) taught me today how to say girl and Duolingo was holding onto it because the sound is beyond my mouth’s current gymnastic level). When they wanted to teach the male/female “the”, they used animals, but only five. They taught me bär (bear), elefant (elephant), katze (cat), hund (dog) and Eule (owl). Eule stood out to me. I felt yesterday that it was just…a random choice. (Another thing about Germans, the Ayushakti clinic in Mumbai happens to have a major affiliation with a German hospital…and there are a lot of books in the German language here. Maybe it doesn’t sound odd, but it stood out to me with my history of frequently encountering Germans).

It is starting to converge (here come the owls):

Today, I ended up talking to my Alaskan friend (yes, the same friend from the dream). We usually have a hard time catching each other, but we were actually available via telephone at the same time. We talked for an hour and a half about many things, however at some point, I mentioned Dolores Cannon and her book Three Waves of Volunteers, which prompted my friend to mention a man named Mike Clelland. My friend had met Mike through NOLS (my Alaskan friend worked for them for a few years) or a friend involved in NOLS years ago. Mike, who worked for NOLS for many years, had since done a lot of research on the significance of owls in relation to UFOs after having several experiences out in the wilderness. My friend gave me a podcast to listen to.

In the podcast, Mike, who had spent a lot of time in Alaska, reported several incidences with UFOs that occurred after his owl sightings (which through his research he found to be related to the point of awakening or initiation of an individual). The sightings/experiences were in places I had been, including Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo Reservation. I have had many Navajo tell me about seeing UFOs in the area near Gallup, New Mexico and beyond. After listening to a few more synchronicities sprinkled throughout the talk, I wondered if I this meant I should read his book. The answer I got was to contact him, so I did. It turned out actually, that in alignment with his theory, the only owl I’ve ever seen in person was in VERY close proximity to me, as he had described. I saw the owl right before (December 31, 2021) I attended my first Joe Dispenza meditation event (January 4 or 7?), which did mark the real introduction to the metaphysical world for me. I had only dipped my toe here and there prior.

One of the places I would like to visit during the remainder of this trip is called Lake Manasarovar. The lake and mountain adjacent are a pilgrimage site for the people of several religions including Buddhism, Jain, Hinduism and Tibetan. It is said that if you walk around the mountain once, you’ll clear the sins of this life.

I found the lake through a synchronicity. I was sitting with a young doctor here at the Ayushakti clinic and she told me to read the Gita. I had been told by others to read it and had just started it because there is a copy in every room here. I didn’t like the version; it is over 500 pages long. I wanted a book to read (besides the 500 page Gita), and my friend had tried repeatedly to send me the Sophia Code via Apple Books but we ran into every obstacle. The universe tries to steer me using technical difficulties. I never got the book. Because of this, I went into the small library cabinet at the clinic and looked for a book. There was a short version of the Gita. I started reading it that night and in the first few pages, Lake Manasarovar was mentioned. It really piqued my interest, so I looked it up.

When I looked it up, I found this article: https://isha.sadhguru.org/global/en/sadhguru/mystic/mount-kailash-another-kind-of-life.

Early in my arrival to India, I had been considering going to Sadhguru’s Isha yoga center in the south of India, but felt less motivated closer to the time I started reading the Gita. Perhaps it was just meant to be a signal for me to pay attention to the article about the lake and Mt. Kailash. The article talks about how the lake is visited nightly by UFOs and celestial beings. It seems that the words of Dolores cannon, Sadhguru and Mike are pointing to something. I plan to visit the mountain, but am waiting for more of this synchronicity to unfold. Let’s see if I hear back from Mike!

A less exciting but still important synchronicity: I asked the universe to give me a really clear sign if they wanted me to go somewhere or do something. I had been considering several options for where to go after Ayushakti, one being a course at The Yoga Institiute, the oldest yoga center on the world, located in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. A few hours later, I was talking to a woman, who was visiting Ayushakti with her nephew, who is from Alaska, of course. I keep running into Alaskans. She lives in Utah, in a small town that I only knew because I had met a couple years before while visiting Kanab, Utah who lived in the same town as her. As we talked, she went right into talking the kind of talk I like most; universe talk. We talked about Dolores Cannon, Louise Hay, and many other authors in the same category. The woman, who happened to be the wife of the inventor of few very successful products that we all know, told me about how she had taken the level 1 yoga instructor certification. I don’t remember the context, but we hadn’t been talking about yoga. I wasn’t intending on pursuing an instructor certification, but I got my clear sign, and signed up for a course the following day.

When I read the course description, the nudge from the universe made sense. They weren’t just teaching yoga, they were teaching you how to teach others, a skill that I know I will need later on. It has been consistent that tools I need come in unexpected ways. I felt that I had made a good choice. This was also in alignment with the messages I had gotten in dreams the past few days. Actually 3 in a row, followed by my twin having a dream giving me such an obvious message that again, it was like the universe throwing bananas at me. Even still, my friend ended up helping me decode it. Can’t wait for that clarity to kick in!

In the dreams/travels, I had been spending time with a different guy each night, and the time was spent traveling around or doing chores, etc. but they were all dates. The dates were meant to be early on though, during the time when you’re at date 3-5 and deciding if you like them enough to make a commitment. With my lack of extraction of the proper meaning from the three dreams, an attempt was made to reach me through my twin. He had a dream that I was asked out by a guy, and spent a long time stressing over whether to go or not. It is not out of character for 3D Alana to act this way, which is why the universe was throwing bananas. I had been spending so much time stressing over where to go next and not making any decisions. With the understanding of this message in mind, it felt good to trust the universe and commit to the class, even though I had no real interest.

Back to the yoga class: I had visited The Yoga Institute a few days before signing up for the class; the opportunity had manifested via another synchronicity (see blog post titled “Yoga”). I thought after the visit that I should take a short self-help type course there. I was torn, because of the timing. This was when I asked the universe for a clear sign.

Someone talking about yoga isn’t that out of the ordinary, especially in India, but it was the way she had talked about it that made it a synchronicity. When people go into an extended monologue without me asking questions and they mention something I needed to hear, that’s a synchronicity. It was also how she ended up talking to me. She was drawn in, and with no intention of having a conversation, we ended up talking for an hour and a half. I think this meeting will evolve into a symbiotic relationship full of many more synchronicities. For now, I’m just having fun trusting!
